Retraction and Reflection

I am going to get to the “response” but I want to make a quick retraction or more so note on something.
1-I shouldn’t have cut on Jimmy.
And before you claim that I got a bunch of negative backlash because of it, i didn’t. I got positive actually, which made me feel like a school bully and THAT is not my style. Sarcastic yes, bully no.
Here is the thing and I do hope Jimmy reads this. I don’t hate him as a person, I don’t even know him. I just strongly disagree with a lot he says in the aspect of health and fitness discussion and question his ethical motives, that is all. It is just the things people like him say makes MY job harder. It makes the UN-teaching I have to do more. I also feel that there is a lack of nobility and that is gut instinct that is backed, by it not being addressed. I openly welcome a conversation about it, seriously.
In the end though, who am i to judge? I am just an ego with a blog. I should NOT have used my blog or influence as a source like that. That was wrong.
2-I went back to a lot of training today and it reminded me that the net is kind of a place that infects you when you are around it enough. There is so much going on outside of it, that really is true. That doesn’t mean I lose my charm, it just means I will use it for more positive convo.
3-You find out really quick who your friends when you least expect it. Thanks to a lot of people who gave me so big help and to you others…
I don’t like you anymore and I think you smell.

First of all… smell good or smell bad?
Second, it’s okay to judge. There needs to be some stigma attached to doing something bad, wrong, or sloppy. You don’t have to be harsh or name names right off the bat, but a good discussion of right and wrong is right, not wrong.
May 12th, 2008 at 7:34 pmAnd I agree, but I am not in the habit of calling someone out or questioning their MOTIVES without a first hand experience and truth be told I do not have that.
Do I think that he is REALLY bad at understanding a lot of things he is talking about? Yes.
Are his MOTIVES bad, this I do not know. That is truly where my anger is born form in general about things like this because their are some professionals that really just don’t have a good intention. I see these guys who could care less, train no one, and just want to be glorified affiliates. I AM calling them out. They ARE usually pretty obvious.
I think Jimmy hit personal, hit a lot of us personal because I actually thought he was different. It stings of betrayal. I supported him in my blog. People spent money on his product because I interviewed him.
Like I said though, I am open to a conversation with him about it. I know it is seen so I am curious to see what will happen.

Yup, Its way too easy to get caught up in web intrigue and pointless discussions with other ego’s out there in the electronic mist. Real Life happens when the computer is turned off. People seem to be forgetting that these days. Live, Learn, and Grow.

May 13th, 2008 at 8:29 amGood! I’d like to see the discussion, too.
I remember Jimmy from around — when he was basically just starting out. A good guy, I thought. Meant well. We’ll see what’s what, I hope.
May 13th, 2008 at 2:55 pmIMHO Jimmy can go screw himself, he is in it for the money and the money only. I think it is big of you to want to hate him first hand though :P. I am POSITIVE you will find out that you had a good instinct.
