The reality of calories
Are you so sure that a ”handful” of almonds isn’t causing your fat loss problems?

A lot of people STILL want to claim that calories don’t matter. That all it takes is no carbs, lots of protein, and BAM! instant fat loss!
Just eat some veggies and you’ll be fine.
Hint: You can over eat veggies, meat, and especially fat.
Oh, you can over eat carbs too. I’m just saying calories are calories.
I am still getting comments on this video I posted and again, while it may seem dramatic and a bit extreme in its message, it’s still all true. You can’t discount the numbers.

This week I want to focus on the importance that calories play in our lives and how much those numbers matter. But today I want to share a great photo collaboration of what 300 calories look and cost. It also lists out the measurement in grams. I REALLY like this find.

This reminded me of another great photo calorie effort of what 200 calories look like found here…

I love photography that is eye-opening.

I love this video of yours. It was a real eye-opener and I now faithfully (obsessively? maniacally?) weigh all my foods.
I made the grave mistake of NOT weighing my protein powder for months (because, um, well, you know, it has to be for more workout-conscious folks). Two days ago was a shock when I decided “eh, what the heck–I weigh everything else” and actually weighed one level scoop. Much to my dismay, I found out that for the nutritional information they give, it was really closer to half a scoop. 200 extra calories a day that hadn’t been registering. If I miscounted other things, I could easily be stuffing an extra 400 calories down my gullet. Which might be awesome if I wasn’t trying to lose weight so it is, in fact, not awesome. At all.

If you ate them together? I would never eat fat and carbs together! Trying to kill us?
