What now? The Post Challenge Road

15 Nov

Tonight, at midnight, I will be announcing the winner of my crew and provide you with the details of their journey and the plan I have for them. I have all but one check in left to get in and to say that the final results are shocking is an understatement. For 30 days, it is astounding.

The big question for them has been, “What now!?”

Lucky for them I will provide what I think they should do, where I feel they should go. Some are finished with fat loss, while others still have a ways to go. All of them are “lifers” for training and healthy nutrition. The real big question is, “what is your next move?” Perhaps even more your question to me could be “What do I do after a weight loss challenge?”

Challenges like this are an interesting thing. You can almost nail them to a tee how they will go. In the first week you can feel the excitement in the air and by the last week, when the dust settles, a few lone supporters will stand. Why? What is the cause?

Accountability is a huge factor. My crew blew me away by being nearly 100% compliant. They did almost exactly what they were told to do, it is insane. I tried to be there as much as I could, explaining answers to questions they had, and adjusted if I needed to. Some of you did that for each other, and the ones who were most vocal, really shined through. Everyone should give themselves a huge pat on the back for that pride you so rightfully earned.

It is time now to answer the questions that have been filling my inbox.

Is tomorrow stuff your face day?

If you have been following the challenge to the letter I highly recommend taking a few days off and having a re-feed to reset your hormones, give a nice break to your body, and just relax from all the hard work you put in.

Do I keep going? Can I just repeat this again?!

You can 100% repeat doing this. Just because the 30-Day Challenge is over does not mean suddenly the plan wont let you lose fat.  If you still have fat to lose, and this worked for you, then keep it up!

Do I have another challenge planned?

Not right away. There likely will be another one in the future but that is a long time away. This was a lot of work and while great, I am looking forward to getting back to the normal blog, finishing up some of the topics I had planned (body fat%, ending of article parts, etc), and moving to re-launching the FLTS and Body by Eats.

“Leigh, please can you draw up a program for me!?”

I am working on a method of consulting that I feel can provide you with what you need but that can fit within my schedule, and not be insane in cost. Currently the only way to cut the price is to degrade the value and move to a cookie cutter system. This is a word to the wise, if someone has dozen upon dozens of online clients, they just have good software programs. If you wanted to pay for that you could get it a lot cheaper than what they are charging that is for sure. I am looking into alternative methods. I will keep you updated.

I am SO excited to see how your crew has done!! I can’t wait! They have blown me away already, and I think that this last check in will be even better. (Oh, and maybe Mike can post his Lost/Found pics then, too! ;) ) I’ve been so proud of the sidelines folks who have been working hard, too. You guys have done great as well, and you will continue to succeed even after this challenge is over.

Now bring on the final results! :D (oh, and Leigh, don’t forget the rest of those body fat videos… ;) )

  2. My motivation has not tailed off, though my posting frequency has. The three days of my brother’s wedding was an interesting challenge food wise, but I shocked myself by losing a pound over those three days “off program”. I have also had great results since getting back on track Tuesday. My final results are pretty exciting and will be posted late tonight/early tomorrow. I can’t wait to see how everyone else did!

My favorite big meal recently is aromatic tropical chicken: Pineapple, papaya, and chicken breast sauteed in mint and rosemary infused coconut oil. YUM!

  3. almost forgot, there were also about 50 diced green beans in there :)

Wow! Where did those 4 weeks go? I have lost another half a pound for a total of 5.8 lbs. Here’s my complete update: http://diane-journal.blogspot.com/.

    THANK YOU!
Leigh-thank you again for this challenge and the OBM idea in general. I have completed one round of OPT (+1 extra week). I plan on taking a week off from exercise, and then I will do OPT one more time. I also want to thank all of you who posted encouraging words to me and the others who took the challenge. Congratulations to all who completed the challenge.

Hello everyone – cannot believe that nobody is ‘waiting’ for the final showtime! Too nerv wrecking? Too late at night? But this is what has been worked on for the last long 30 days (and nights), people! Let’s start roundtable and countdown… 11:08pm
    CONGRATS TO ALL PARTICIPANTS!

I’m taking a brief “break” (for me that means just not logging every crumb of food but still remaining quite compliant) before continuing on until Thanksgiving refeed, then picking up again til Christmas refeed. By the first of 2009 I’ll either be smokin’ hot or a bloated walking salt packet! (inside joke w/Leigh) :)

I can’t wait to see what you can come up with for a program to train people on line. I will be right in line for that! I paid big bucks (to me anyway) for a trainer on line and you are so right with the “cookie cutter” comment. Biggest waste of money ever for me. So, I am excited to hear you are working on something!
