Alright so this is officially the last Challenge related post. I could not be prouder of everyone and really wanted to show that so I took the time to put together this post about it. Sorry for the delay, if you did not make it into this post then it means you missed the deadline for the check in. If that is the case still be very proud of your accomplishments. Final Thoughts:
Overall this experience to me has been such an amazing journey. Before this challenge I didn’t know who some of your were at all. To me that has been one of the coolest things of this whole challenge. The community that got built from it, our tribe that got created out of virtual thin air.
At the end of the day we all came together in support of one another and decreased some fat and carried away a lot more pride. Now this is nothing against some other online challenges but you don’t see these kinds of results anywhere in 30 days. Usually the 12 weeks challenges can’t even compare to what we have seen here. It is inspiring. I have the best readers in the world and i could not be prouder.
Overall it has been 151 pounds lost. That is 151 dollars that goes to St Jude Hospital! If you would like to make a donation yourself please go here to do so.

Thank you, everyone.

[...] I know a lot of these are board members so show some love, very impressive! Post is here… The Challenge Results and Winners: The Readers – Fat Loss Troubleshooter-Leigh Peele Shari-down 7 pounds Big Meal Lasagna Champion Winner Matt down 10.1 pounds Lori down 7.2 [...]
Woohoo! Congrats Josh and everyone who participated… it was an awesome experience and I really enjoyed following everyone’s progress. THANK YOU, Leigh!
CoNgRaTuLaTiOnS to all of you!!!
Shari, Matt, Lori, Joy, Anna, Cynthia, Diane, Etana, Hayzel, Josh, Warasa, Rachel, Ann, and Matt Wow You all did such an amazing job! I can’t believe what a support group you all made for each other. You all should be so proud of yourself and thanks for letting us all be a part of your journey
Wow you guys all did great and Josh – WHOA!!!
>16.5 inches (not including arm)
actually it was 19.5″ excluding arms.
Leigh, could you tell me why it doesn’t show? Is it because I’m still retaining water? The medical procedure had me drink about 25 cups water each of 2 days, and I was bloated still, but still, I don’t see any difference, and contestants who lost less inches showed more change.
Ultimately I’m fine with the results, and perservence will bring change, while slipping or gettting comfortable or lax will bring gain… so ultimately visible results don’t matter.
I think I show the most change in my ribcage under my bust, and in my hips, -3″ in each of these places.
thanks, Etana
I’m so proud of all of you–it’s amazing the differences that you can see in the photos. Even a 5 lb loss shows up in those pics–rock on! You should all be so pleased with yourselves for following through on this commitment to yourself and for making the changes that matter. Now keep up the good work!! (After a little break, of course. lol)
Josh, way to go! Those pics are awesome!!
Thank you so much, Leigh! This was a blast. I’m very pleased with my loss and having doubled my unassisted chins (from 2 to 4). I’m having a refeed and rest, and will redo the challenge for another 4 weeks, then perhaps seek some advice on a slow bulk. Congratulations everyone!
Congrats Josh! And everyone else too! Doesn’t it feel great to have made all this progress?
I had a few more carbs yesterday and about 2400 calories so the weight bounced up a tad, but I’m not worried. Today has been mostly a clean cheat day, but hubby is going to bring home a little treat I was craving. And then I’m gonna keep this train rolling by getting right back on track tomorrow.
Hey Etana- You actually added it up wrong with the numbers you left it was 18.5 but you don’t add both of you legs just one
Leigh, you did a fantastic job motivating us. We all owe you big time.
It is not over though – we have to go further. I still have 30 pounds to my ideal weight, and you guys also have to watch it, not to regain what you lost in this challenge. I will be checking your blogs to see how you’re getting on.
For those of you who do not run their own sites, but want to continue the challenge, I agreed with Jim, that we’ll continue on my blog… unless Leigh will wish to be our host for some more weeks?
What do we do Leigh, to keep the momentum going?
Is there a recipe section from The Crew where we could take some “best practices” tips? I’m going to start this on my own from next week and would love to get some meals planned ahead.
Congratulations everyone, you’re all an inspiration.
Congratulations Shari, Lori, Joy, Anna, Cynthia, Diane, Etana, Hayzel, Warasa, Rachel, Ann, and Matt!!
Josh–WOW…
Matt–I’m YOUR biggest fan. You did awesome.
151 pounds!! Unbelievable.
Congratulations everyone!!! I hope you are proud of your achievements. As one of our boys would say…. this is ‘EPIC’!
Thanks Leigh for your unwavering support and dedication. I’m a massage therapist, and you have one torture session on me if you’re ever in my neck of the woods. (Montreal)
wow. Everyone’s results are so impressive. Its an honor and more than a bit humbling to be chosen as “winner” from a group that has acheived so much. We are all winners in that we have shed unwanted fat and gained a sense of accomplishment that can be channeled for further great results in body recomposition as well as in other aspects of life. I took a “diet break” the past few days, but didn’t go too too crazy, but I am back up to 198 this morning (water and glycogen I suspect). My goal for a while has been 180 by 2009, so I will be pushing hard towards that goal. Any advice?
Also, last, but CERTAINLY not least, thank you Leigh for everything. I’m not sure where to email you, so send me one at josh_aronovitch@yahoo.com and I will respond.
Wow!!!! Congratulations to everyone! I’m sorry I didn’t get a chance to post my pictures…Damn camera! I am continuing on with OPT, so hopefully I will have an amazing transformation at the end of these next 8 weeks. Let’s keep the momentum going everyone!
Congrats to Josh and everyone else–you all made some amazing changes!
Karen
Congratulations to everyone (both “official” and email) participants. You all did great! I love the one-big-meal concept and will continue to use it during the work week… Everyone looks AMAZING!!!
Congratulations everyone! Very impressive results!
Hey Josh, diet break is OK! I took a bit of one… ate more clean carbs Sunday, ate mostly clean Monday though definitely higher cal, but had a little bit of a treat last night. So I’ve got my usual weight spike today.
No worries, have most of my meal plan in place already, need to iron out details for a new recipe tonight for spinach/cashew pesto, which I hope to serve with chicken breast. I’ve left open a good calorie slot for that, so I’ll be OK. Can’t measure ingredients until the spinach gets a little more defrosted, LOL!
I’ve got everyone who has a blog in my feed reader, and those of you who have threads on the JPFitness forums, I’m subscribed, so hopefully I can check in and see how y’all are doing in the coming months.
making a big pot of chicken breast, green olives, kale, chipotles, and recaito… after spicing to taste should be a a good morrocan mexican fusion of healthy yumness.
ohhh i love recaito…ummm sounds good i may steal that idea
Congratulations Josh! But, all of us are winners – great job everyone.

Diane- You are so right! Fantastic job everyone! Thank you all for working so hard I am sure St. Judes appreciates every pound!
Thanks Leigh and I have good feelings about this month! The swimsuit went on easier than ever today, I swear it!
And then… AFTER 40 minutes of water aerobics AND a 5/16 mile relaxed swim, I somehow managed to do more assisted pull-ups than ever! WITHOUT any weird twanging sensation in either shoulder after!
The plan for this week is to keep my two low carb days at 1700 calories, then add in the fruits/legume portions for the next two days exactly as per Cheat To Lose and see where that brings me in calories. Likewise for the two days after that with low fat and starchy carbs. I’ll see if I’ve made progress (either inches or pounds) and adjust from there if I haven’t.
