I love update posts. I think I love them so much because they remind me that I am actually getting somewhere in life and doing things. Sometimes the days just travel by so fast it is nice to sit back and ask “what the hell is going on in my life right now?”
The answer is…
1. I am now the official co-host along with Jonathan “studmuffin” Fass on The Fitcast. Kevin, Tony, and Brian have done a really great job at throwing together a great exercise database too so go check it out here.
This means if you have any questions you want me to answer, head here. It is going to be a little longer on my podcasts, so this is the best way get an audio answer right now.
2. I was a “Expert Profile” feature for Precision Nutrition site and did a “Day in the Life.” It was fun, I snapped some pictures, and overall found out I am really boring right now. Check it out!
3. FLzine.com will be launching March 1st. I have a LOT more to tell you about as far as this is concerned, but I am going to save that for another post. For now, just know, I am freaking awesome.
4. Ryan Viers (one of my former clients) launched up a great new site called “LifeGawker.” An awesome idea and a positive way to spend you video watching time. Go check it out.
5. The Fat Loss Troubleshoot is still going strong and the word is getting around well. Last checked # 6 in nutrition and #12 in Diet. I can’t thank everyone enough for their support and I hope you take the time to chat with me sometime either here, on twitter, or facebook. I am limiting myself to three of these things only because I am just too much of a goof to keep up with the rest.
So what’s been going on with you? I need some updates!

I subsribed to fitcast but left when I realized you were only on some of the time. So this is great news! can’t wait to hear more of your amazing “silence of the lambs” accent! Keep up the awesome work. You are an inspiration to flabby chicks everywhere.

Sounds like a lot of great thigns happening Leigh! My update: Well, since the end of the transformaiton contest (which I finished at a depleted 195 pounds), I took a full diet and exercise break for 10 days, peaked at a ridiculous 209.5 pounds of mostly fat, water and glycogen on January 1.
I am now down to 182 fully depleted and fasted and 187 after a normal day of 1500 calories of great healthy food.
I am starting to see the outline of some abs in the right light, but there is still fat to shed. I think I might be where I want at around 172-175 pounds depleted.
The goal is still a six pack by the 4th of July, when i will declare my independence from body fat.
No you didn’t…
C’mon is it that thick?
Josh-That is fantastic. Ha, glad to know you got through that re-feed alive.
You going to get PN 3?
We love update posts too! I loved that article on PN, saw it last week, and just loved seeing your puppy!!
I am SO glad you will be a regular on the Fitcast – it is just not the same when you are not on!! I may even submit a question or two!!
Very psyched too about FLzine! We, your adoring fans, already know teh awesomeness that is Leigh, but now more people will!!
PS – Your accent is fine to me, but then again, mine is such that telemarketers call just to hear me talk! LOL! Seriously, I had one ask me one day what did I call a 25 cent piece. I asked him, “Do you expect me to say a “quaw-tah”? He also asked me to say milk and chair. Who knew? That is why I don’t venture past the Mason Dixon line!!
Whooohooo! Love the updates! There’s lots of exciting news here. (And I’m already signed up and ready to go!
)
Incubus fan?
Hmm I don’t think Leigh’s accent is all that thick, it’s definitely an unmistakably North Carolinan accent (if you know your southern dialects). At least it’s not an accent like the old retired women living on the Gold Coast of Florida.
Updates for me: holding steady between 225-230lbs but still getting visibly leaner. I can see the changes most readily in the delts and calves, but now the quads and hamstrings are starting to get a little more defined too. Haven’t made a move on compression therapy to get rid of excess fluid as I’ve been obsessing a bit about finding all the info I can. A recent reference I found about compression being recommended for bariatric surgery patients has pretty much sealed the deal though.
The people who say the FitCast isn’t as good without you Leigh are just plain wrong. Don’t let them disrespect Kevin and Jon like that. Especially Kevin who has been doin an amazing job with the podcast from day 1. Your input is valuable and worthwhile, however its important to note the amount of talent that Jon and Kevin have as they were the two original hosts and the one’s who got the show going and to where its at today. Peace, Love, and Understanding.
I’m so happy for you, Leigh =) Can’t wait to see more!
When you say FLTS is #6 and #12, what do you mean? Where’s this list?
Congrats on all the good things around here!
Roland
The accent isn’t that thick. It just reminds me of Jodie Foster in that movie everytime I hear it. I’m Australian so I don’t hear that many accents. Only TV and Podcasts. Nothing better then having a fabulous accent when you’re a podcaster. I’ve resubcribed to the fitcast…
Mike,
How many old retired women living on the Gold Coast of Florida do you know??
Stud.
Damn Leigh, you’re blowing up BIG time…
My update, I ended OBM at 219 lbs. Today, I’m down around 215. Weekends are still killing me. But, like Mike, I feel awesome and I can definately see more definition in my arms and stomach.
How about the rest of the crew??
Guys, it’s great to hear the update! Good job on continuing the process!
I’m growing away–25 weeks today. This little bambino will be here in a couple of months and then watch out for me because I’ll be burning up the scale on my downward descent!
I’m up 3-4 pounds (127-128.6 lbs) from the final weight of OBM on any given day, but am holding steady and working out using a hypertrophy program. Hopefully, I am actually building some LBM and not just adding to the fat stores
. Will see late spring/early summer when I start a final fat loss program. I can see more muscle definition, but my monthly photos will not cooperate to show it.
Is #6 and #12 where FLTS shows up on google searches/other searches?
Thanks for the update and GO YOU!
Originally my parents tossed around a few middle name ideas until they finally settled on “studmuffin” as the winner. Including the quotation marks as part of the name was controversial for the times, but they had come of age in the wild and free 1960’s and wanted to make a statement against the social norm.
The rest is history.
Love the incubus reference…
