Originally I was going to break these up over the course of a few weeks, but I thought I will go ahead and start everyone at the same time. I already have certain people selected for a certain body fat range but I still have some spots open.
Here are the required qualifications in order to participate in the test. These are very important, so please read through them carefully, and think about how you will be affected by it. This is NOT going to be for everyone, so don’t worry if this isn’t for you, ok?
1-You will be required to fill out a questionnaire and future questionnaires before, during, and after programing. All information in this document CAN be shared due to these being public case studies. By filling out this document and sending it to me you are hereby giving your full permission for information to be distributed. Your photos can and will likely be distributed for testimonial purposes to give statement to the programing.
2-All training or nutrition information given to you based on this document information is to be used at your own risk. Avidity Fitness LLC is not to held responsible in any way, for anything that occurs, under any circumstances. MWAHAHA…
3-You are not allowed to share any information about the programming or nutrition guidelines to anyone else until I have given permission to do so.
4-Photos are to be submitted each week at the same time of day in the same outfit. What you wear is up to you, but please try and show as much of your body as possible. No nakies though please. Quality of photos need to be in a good range. Clear and visible in your photo. If someone cannot take the photo of you simply set a timer and move to spot.
5-With your weekly photos you will also be asked to hand in the stat sheet. Some of your will be required to put different things on your stat sheets than others for pure psychological purposes only.
6-This program will vary from 8 weeks to 14 weeks. Your timeline will be guesstimated at the beginning at the program, but may change if needed based up pace. Could be shorter, could be longer.
7-Each person is going through a different phase at different times. The few difference from this vs the product release is a slight tweaking based on individualization, but we hope to utilize and find a formula to best do this in the programming release in the future.
You will be getting update programing every 2 weeks (as needed)
You will be getting updated nutrition guidelines every 2 weeks (as needed)
8-Beyond the check ins and program updates our communication will be limited to general and basic program questions no more than you would ask someone you bought a product from or via on a support forum. Because this is private obviously there is no support forum so I do allow general questions to be asked.
9-You will be required to take final photos that are of good quality. They do not have to be professional pictures but that have to be of good quality. If you are chosen we will go over that together.
10-Lastly, I am being very selective with who I pick and don’t have a huge group selected. This means that your diligence is crucial. If 7 weeks in your haven’t been doing what you need to do I will know and not only will it make my job harder it takes away 7 weeks of data I could have been logging on someone else. So before you join the test I need you to understand the seriousness of your dedication and compliance is 100%. Not 90, 100. I realize that may not be for everyone and that is fine. Just know what you are agreeing to and the dedication level required.
Understand that what I am asking of you is what I am going to be delivering to you. If you want the ultimate of yourself I will help you make that happen in as short of time as we possibly can. I can do this for you because you are going to be a billboard for me. I want hot billboards, so I will not fail you if you promise not to fail me. Deal?
Who I am looking for…
-2 females who are in the range of 22-29% bf. Training experience can vary, but I do need to be informed of it.
-2 females who are in the range of 18-22% bf. Training experience can vary, but I do need to be informed of it.
-2 males who are in the range of 11-14% Body Fat that have a moderate level of training experience to advanced.
-2 males who are in the range of 18-23% body fat that have any level of training experience.
If you are on board and fit the description then please send to trainer @ avidityfitness.net the following information.
1-Name
2-Stats
Age
Height
Weight
Estimated BF%
3-One picture only of yourself of what you currently look like that is clear that gives me a good idea of what your body is.
If you are chosen you will be receiving a questionnaire form and we will go from there. There may be 1 phone call to fact check if short on time. Then you will receive your program and start checking in.
The cut off date for submissions is April 24th at Midnight. From there I will make my final decisions.

Sounds interesting! Would like to apply, but I don’t know my bodyfat %. Can you get a good enough idea from stats and photo or do I need to have it measured?
thanks,
D
That sounds amazing! I would never make 100% compliance, though, so I’ll wisely step back. I’m insanely jealous of whoever gets to join, though!
Deborah asked my question…And how strange that she used my real name.
I am 46 with moderate training under my belt. Most would say I am advanced but I am no Tom Venuto (trying to get somewhere close, however). I am 10-11% body fat. I know you asked for 11-14%, but give or take 1% should be suffice.
My body fat number and the timing puts me out of it, but by golly, I’ll get in on the next one of these that you run!
I’ll be watching and cheering your participants on, though!
I want to…I really want to, but my friends and the guy I just started seeing would probably kill me. I just finished a Turbulence Training contest and I just started to be fun again.
Could it be Pipes vs. Jimboshoe again???
thanks…When(ish) are you planning on starting the program?
I sent in my application for one of the male 11-14% body fat spots. I promise you Leigh, if I’m chosen I have no problem with 100% compliance, even with little to no accountability.
I have gotten over 100 applications so far.I had no idea so many people would be interested!
Both debs, to answer your question basically its where you have somewhere between 15-30 pounds of fat to lose depending on the end goal. So if wanting to be in a show then goal would be more towards 30, if want just a average lean body then more towards 15.
I am interested in being a part of the study. I am a 28 year old female, 5′7inches, 150lbs with 21-23% body fat. I competed in 2 natural bodybuilding competitions last year and didn’t have much success with the fat loss. I follow my diet to 100% without cheating and committed 100% to my training requirements that we set out for me by my trainer. Since August 08, I have not stopped training in the hopes of losing the weight I put on and all this has done for me is made extremely discouraged, over-trained and even fatter! My calories have never gone past 2200 or below 1700 calories per day doing resistance training 4-5x/week and 1hr of a mix of high intensity and low intensity (sometimes more) cardio per day 6x/week. I have been to the doctor several times to get blood work done and nothing abnormal has come back. I have been on low carb diets and at 1700 calories felt like I was going to die. I am cold all the time, not sleeping well at all for over 3 years and everything hurts. My diet is really good now 40 (prot) -20 (fat)-40(carbs) at 1800 calories. Nothing has budged in weight and my legs are so dimply! I backed off on exercising a bit doing crossfit or bootcamps 3x/week and cardio 45min intervals 2x/week. I bought your ebook program and am going to start the meta repair program. I have been eating my maintenance calories 1788 for 4 days now and have taken 5 days off training. I feel like I have been hit by a truck! I am not even at the level 4 calorie requirements in the meta repair program and I am starving! I would like to try your study to see if there is even a chance for me because I am seriously at the point where I am wondering if all this effort will even pay off or just lead to further disappointment. My goal is to be at 16-18% body fat and to be healthy. Commitment has never been an issue as I strive on structure. Please HELP!! Thanks in advance for your consideration.
If I am not a candidate for your study, I had a question about the meta repair. It seems to be laid out for people who have been eating very few calories and for me I have not severely restricted myself. I have been in a deficit for a long period of time but more so over-trained than anything else. Would I start at my maintenance calories (1788 cal) for the rest period or at level 4 calories (1788-35%)? My appetite is good and every few hours I am hungry. My water intake has always been up around 3L per day. I don’t have anything with artificial sweeteners and I weigh and measure everything exactly.
Again thanks so much for your time and look forward to some feedback.
Sincerly.
Marie C.
When will the program start, or can it be done at seperate times. I only ask as I still have 8 weeks left with IFAST.
Thanks.
Wow, Leigh, can’t you take 100 people more for your test? I mean the more data points, the better, lol.
I’d love to join, knowing that this is coming at the exactly right time (my summer vacation where I’ll be home stress-free.) But I guess you had them. I will be looking forward to this product though!
Just to give a head up I had an unplanned leave come about and might be without the net for a few days (that travel anywhere card has its limits).
The deadline for submissions is going to be extended to the 26th to allow me time to look through things well when I get back.
The Program itself will start May 1st or sometime shortly after depending on when everyone gets set up and ready to go.
I have close to 200 submissions to look through, I will say that 4 people have already been chosen due to my past experience with working them directly.
Very excited about what is to come so thank you for being apart of it.
Oh and someone asked me if this was for Make My Body Hot and all I will say is… your good
Marie, just in case Leigh doesn’t get a chance to respond before she goes out of town…
When’s the last time you took a break–both from working out and eating at a deficit? I see that you say you’ve been eating at maint. for 4 days with 5 days off training. Are you totally off training or are you just not working as hard as your typical training routine? Before you start anything else, that’s probably your first step–a good week (maybe 10 days) of no exercise (just NEAT but not intentional NEAT, maybe some foam rolling and very light walking) and eating at or just above your maint. caloric level.
I’m sure Leigh will respond as soon as she can, though.
Hang in there!
What if you know you need to do the metabolic repair program, would this need to be done first–would that not allow you to qualify for one of those spots??
What if I need the metabolic repair program, will that cancel me out as a candidate for this project??
Aww man…I wish I could do it (I’m in the BF ranges!!), but I already committed to doing the ChaLEAN Extreme program with my sister. I hope there will be a next time!
Oh, I am tempted to submit. However, I think I’d be on vacation one week during the timeframe, which would make diet compliance more difficult. Not impossible as I’d be visiting family and would have access to a kitchen rather than eating out all the time, but still difficult. Hmm.
Just reread the bit about not revealing any part of the program, including nutrition guidelines, to anyone. Since it’d be hard to shoo away a houseful of people when cooking, I think I’m out. Oh well; I’ll look forward to hearing about the results!
Amanda, I’m thinking that she meant the public at large–not your family…unless your family is a team of bloggers that would go posting the info. I think she meant more like don’t post the info in your workout logs online and stuff… just guessing, though…
Sinead,
Thanks for the advice! I haven’t taken a complete week off in the past 3 years except for a week after my first competition. I have take very occasional 3-4days off here and there. I have a hard time resting. I feel like I always have to do something or I haven’t done enough. My training looked like this:
Mon: x-bike/Crossfit and 1hr elliptical intervals (goal 650 cals)
Tues: back, bi’s and hamstrings and 1hr cardio interval program on elliptical (goal 650 cals)
Wednesday: bootcamp or x-bike/crossfit
Thursday: chest, shoulders, tri’s and 30 minutes incline walk or run
Friday: bootcamp or x-bike/crossfit and small leg workout
Saturday: bootcamp or off
Sunday: off
I was recommended to do a low carb diet and had been following a keto diet for a while and was crashing really hard. Not only was I not loosing weight but I was looking fatter. I was loosing a lot of hair as well and having a hard time getting through the day without feeling lethargic and unmotivated.
Sleep has been a real issue for me for about 3-4 years now and at it’s worse in the past 1.5years. I reintroduced carbs in my diet about 5 weeks ago and was getting through my workouts better for a couple of weeks and then was crashing really hard by the end of the week. I have been resting for days doing nothing but what my daily activity is (NEAT). I am having a hard time with this but know I have to. I’ve been eating my maintenance calories as well 1788 at a 40-20-40 balance. I am so hungry and have been afraid to eat more than that since I am not exercising. I wanted to wait and see what Leigh recommend I do. I don’t know if my metabolism is messed up or if its just my hormones from being over-trained for so long. I haven’t weighed myself yet. Any suggestions?
Thanks again for the reply! I really appreciate it
Lee,
I just applied for the program in the female 18-22% bf slot. I don’t really have much to say except I would be tickled if you pick me!
Love your podcasts and your site! You rock!
Angie
Oh, and Jim, I’d LOVE to see a Pipes vs. Jimboshoe matchup again!
Crap, Marie, I just wrote a long response and it got lost. Here’s a (probably) briefer recap…
The fact that you say that you have a really hard time resting and haven’t really rested for a week in over 3 yrs suggests (to me, at least) that rest is exactly what you need to do. Spend at least a week–maybe 10 days–focusing on rest and repair. Really work on your sleep and try to take it easy.
I don’t know what to tell you about the food; it might be because of reintroducing the carbs. Since Leigh might be offline for a couple of days, you might want to head over to JPfitness (Leigh has a subforum there) or to FLzine (Leigh’s forum) and post your question there. Even if Leigh can’t get to the computer to answer it for you, there are plenty of people at both sites who can give you good, solid, and reliable answers or at least a direction to take.
I hope that helps.
Don’t give up and work as hard on resting as you have been on working out.
I submitted my stats….fingers crossed.
Thanks for all your help Sinead! Much appreciated! I go to the forums and do what you suggested.
Sinead, thinks for the input! No, my family doesn’t blog so they likely wouldn’t have revealed the plan to anyone. However, after giving it a bit of thought, I think trying to be a tester would be, in a way, an excuse to not get started on fat loss now. I’m just a week into OPT, and while I’ve actually seen a 5lb weight gain (it happened over two days so it must be water retention) I feel like I should focus on giving one program a solid shot before going “Ooh, look! Shiny new program! Must try!”
I’ll just have to wait along with the rest of the hoi polloi to find out about the new program.
I’d say that you’re right about the gain, Amanda. Don’t give up on OPT just yet–stick to it.
Lots of people have had some good success on that program.
I’m getting antsy! If this is supposed to start on 1 May I’m guessing I didn’t get picked cuz I haven’t heard anything. Anyone else getting nuts waiting for an announcement?
I’ve been checking my email constantly.
haha me too!
Where did it say May 1st?
Leigh had to go out of town suddenly, so that might have mixed things up a bit. I think she’s supposed to be back tonight…
Erin, this may be irrelevant considering what Sinead said about things being mixed up, but in post #14 Leigh said, “The Program itself will start May 1st or sometime shortly after depending on when everyone gets set up and ready to go.”
Oh, thanks! I don’t know how I missed that, Karen!
Hey Guys!
Thanks for being patient with all of this, sorry for the bump in the road.
I am sending out emails right now to people to see if they pass the first set of requirements that I can’t talk about on the blog yet.
If they don’t then I got to the alternate spots. More than likely if you don’t get an email by tomorrow night the spots are fill.
A lot of people just didn’t qualify for this phase, but I could use for a different phase.
Regardless all of you who entered will get something special in the future, you names will be saved, and your guts to do that will not be ignored.
Can’t wait to get back in the groove. You will not believe the amount of emails I have to answer!
Sound’s great, Leigh! Glad you made it back safe and sound.
