The end of an era is upon us. It is the end, hopefully, of people saying my website name wrong. I can’t blame them, I mean what the heck was I thinking?

Avidity Fitness is still my companies name, but no one cares about my companies name. Its really weird to see that 13 people have come to your site from typing in “Leigh Peele Tattoo.” You guys are weird.
I will say that paled in comparison to the 134 people that arrived today from typing in “Jessica Simpson Fat.” Obviously I have a ways to go. If it means that much to you, I will eat more ice cream. Just for you though, okay?
All kidding aside, soon I am going to switch over to http://www.leighpeele.com.
For the record Avidity Fitness.net will still be here. There are too many links coming in, and redirects are never fun. I am going to do a “update your bookmark” post, and try to put what resources I can on the new site. Personally, I wanted to redo a lot of things and I would like a fresh start.
You wouldn’t think that so much would change from a simple URL change, but funny enough I think it will.
Here what will NOT change.
-It will still be a place to find my podcasts and information on diet and training.
-It will still highlight articles I have written or resources that might help you out.
-I will still be the one blogging and relaying all the information.
What WILL change
-More talking about my clients and my training (personally).
-More talking about general things that I like and enjoy (not all business. )
-More talks of my travels, and the things I see, do, and want to do.
In short, it will be more personal.
I still want it to be helpful for you, I still will answer questions, none of that will change.

Body by eats.
Everyone has been asking about it and I finally have some news for you.
Initially I was just going to release a cookbook/diet program. I thought that was what you wanted. The problem was the more I asked you questions about what you wanted, the more it wasn’t the direction I was going. So I changed it, tested, changed it, tested, and finally came up with the ultimate answer and tweak to the situation.
Body By Eats will not just be a cookbook/diet program. It is going to be WAY more than that.
I will say that because of spiies (you would think I am kidding, but sadly I am not) I have to keep some info on the down low until the launch date comes closer. It looks like right now, I hope, we are 2-3 months off. I will say that it is a membership site and it will be the BEST resource and accountability resource available. It will be at a VERY reasonable price, but of high quality. There will be a chance to work with me 1-on-1 again in the future, even a chance for me to travel to where you are.
This will only work if you are involved, it will be driven by you.
What, there is more?
Oh yeah, there is a LOT more. The email list is going to change, you helping getting the word out is going to be more important than ever, and hopefully there will be so many goodies going around you wont know what to do with yourself. Yes, I am hyping just a little, but it will be that good.
What I ask of you is to just keep things real with me, let me know what you want and chances are you will get it. That is how this should work. I have a wealth of information, contacts, and experience. However, I don’t always see things the way you might see them. If there is something you want me to offer, tell me and I will do it.
You can start right now, what is on your Wishlist? What do you want that people or me aren’t offering? I still have time to stuff the gift bag right now, and its on you to tell me what you want.

Oh my GOSH LEIGH.. I for one love the intricate instruction.. for instance..i just found the article on the PULL UPS FOR WOMEN~ you must have been reading my mind. I have been wanting to ‘master’ this for a year now..and for some reason it just was not “clicking”… I couldn’t get the ‘mechanics’ to sync up… now that I have your article… with all the specifics and ‘how to’ I know it will just be a matter of time…. and hard work which I love to do as the reward is so worth it. My only request, and this may seem like a weird one, is perhaps a little more of a accepting tone for newbies. Sometimes I want to ask things but I get a little nervous about it. Stephannie list is amazing exactly what I would ask for. It doesn’t have to be “GIRLY” either. I get that isn’t your vibe! I think it would be weird, but just newbie friendly to guy or girls.

Leigh I can ask a question? This isn’t to start an argument but I am sure it could. Do you find that being a woman is a issue? I ask because my wife is in the field with me (we are trainers_. She is smart and strong! I see what you do and it is so different than all the other guys, and I get surprised by the lack of support (or is there and it is just where I am not looking).
I see these ladies here are obviously not liking FLzine.com and I wonder where that leaves you??? Do guys take you serious? Any tips for my wife? A guy will not let her come near him! Again like I said, she is strong and smart! She is better than a lot of these crackpot twitter guys

So exciting. Nothing new to add, but I want to 3rd (?) the Go Wear Fit articles/discussion/analysis. I know not everyone has one, but I think a lot can be learned from that little device that most people can use.

Gotta say, like this site ALOT better than Flzine…so hoping that leigh.peele will be more like this site. Just don’t get it over Flzine. Could be be just a matter of taste, but I just don’t seem to learn stuff there like I used to at this site. This site was about Leigh and her view on all related to food etc. Flzine seems to be more about opinions from lots of people who I don’t know and do not really have time or inclination to research.
Truly hope to see a body fat video series….I figured it had been retired. The podcasts are great.

Craig-The short answer is that of course it is an issue, BUT it is only as much of an issue as people make it out to be. I never tried to do the whole “women only” thing. Simply because my messages are very universal. I love women and they do make up a majority of my clients, but that is most trainers anyway. Men in general have more of that “go it alone” attitude. I will say that I train more men than a lot of people might think.
As for your lady, it’s tough but my best advice to any woman in this field who wants to train men is you just have to prove yourself, again and again. You have to be better to some degree than others and not be afraid to show it, but also don’t be a ball buster. You don’t have to lose being a woman to train with guys. I knew this one trainer once, bless her, when she had training sessions with guys she would butch up and I swear her voice dropped two octaves. She didn’t need to do that, she had the goods, you know?
You can’t change someone’s preconceived notions, but you can be the exception to the rule in their discriminations.
Annie-Leighpeele.com will be pretty much like this site, just the content will be a bit more personal at times. Flzine is a completely different site, and not really for the majority of my readers I have found, but that is okay because the message on my main site, again is very universal and easy to understand information.

I am one guy that definately takes her seriously. I don’t care if my trainer can bench press a Hummer or is 5′1″, 110lbs. girly girl. I just want someone that is honest, really cares, is knowledgeable, gives great advice and encouragement (or beatings if deserved):) Leigh Peele is an EXPERT, she is completely HONEST, really, really cares, she gives GREAT advice (for free!!) and always makes me want to be my best. Leigh just happens to be a young, hot female trainer that can kick my ass.
I’m sure Mike, Josh, Alex and all the other guys would agree.

I think FLzine is just young. Lately I seem to be following Leigh wherever she is; it’s not that hard to jump from JPfitness to avidityfitness and over to FLzine where my log is. I began a log there just to support Leigh, because you are so supportive of all of us! and me!
During the day I find I have your messages floating in my head; especially the ‘get in and get out’… and some other phrases, like “enjoying your life while you exercise an diet”… I wonder if there could be a “leigh’s quote of the day” on the site! I know you want us to read your books, so you don’t want to give it all away at once, but a quote of the day hahaha

I am the leader of the boomers, and as I creak so creaks 2 decades of boomers lol … So articles that address when you finally get your workout and food together and your body starts to break down: how to prolong another 25 healthy years!
Another idea: surgery recovery. I had the experience of 1)footsurgery, 2)tripped and sprained my rotator cuff which has not recovered since I was using the crutches; 3)finally after 4 months, did 3 wonderful enthusiastic Jazzercise sessions but low and behold!!! Although I had had 2 months’ “walking muscle building,” I hadn’t twisted or stretched in 4 months. And so 3 enthusiastic dance Jazzercise sessions did a number on my back! Well!!!! Another month on the sidelines, and now I am lifting 3 pound fly instead of 10#, and 2×10# dumbbell deadlifts instead of 2×40# dumbbells.. Just to ease back into resistance training and the OPT program…. So, leigh, how about offering what the doctors/surgeons leave out: what to do in the 4 months AFTER surgery …

I think that the thing about FLzine is that you kinda have to get used to some of the personalities there. It’s some of the same people from JP’s, but they’re a bit more “free” at FLzine.
They’re pretty funny, though, so give them a chance.

Sounds great….I too like the gwf discussions/slow bulk/muscle building/hormone & the body, and case studies. The podcast are awesome. I like the flzine forum just never felt comfortable jumping in since I tend to read more than talk. Best of luck to you with all the upcoming changes though!
