50 Best Diet Foods You Never Knew About (part 2)

28 Sep

If you missed out on part 1 you can check out 50 Best Diet Foods You Never Knew About Part 1here.

Now, enough of that, here is the goods!

39-Sun Crystal Sugar

4 calories for every 5 grams, this little sugar packs a punch. No GI, good for diabetics, also low on normal substitute side effects like gas or bad aftertaste. It can be a little pricey though, and a tad hard to find but worth it. I highly recommend it for low calorie Brulee’.

38-Sweet Riot Cocao Nibs

Want to shake up your smoothies and shakes? Dump some of these nibs in them for a bity chunk. At only 1-2 calories per nib they can add huge flavor for very low calories.

37- Laughing Cow Cheese Light Garlic and Herb/Light French Onion

A lot of people don’t know that there is cheese that lives outside of the packet section. Always make sure to check out what I call the “nice cheese zone” at your local stores and you may be surprised at the low calorie and moderate cost cheeses you may find. This cheese goes amazing on a sandwich or can even be manipulated into one heck of a delicious dressing.

36-Torino Sugar Free Syrup

You name it, they have and it is sugar free. These syrups, while made to be a coffee flavoring, by large can do wonders to adding some zip to recipes beyond coffee based.

35-Astronaut Ice-cream

I love, love, love freeze dried ice cream. A little goes a long way and is a neat method of adding a little extra kick to a low calorie desert.

34-Lenny and Larry’s Muscle Brownies

The name says it all.

33-Athen’s Fillo Dough

Fillo Dough has more uses then just desert. Mixing this dough with a savory item (like a nice beef tip) can give you a lot of textures but for much less calories.
32-Hebrew National 97% Low Fat Beef Hot Dogs

We know the horror stories of hot dogs and yes, these are still packed with sodium but at 45 calories a pop, no carbs, and a much better meat profile, this isn’t to shabby. Oh, did I mention they taste really, really good and like real hot dogs?

31-Coconut Water

It might sound weird but if looking for true hydration check this stuff out. This is best and tastiest way to get in almost 700mg of potassium per serving and with only 60 calories. It also goes good in meals/recipes for cooking, particularly Thai dishes.

30- Crispy Fruits

I am A-D-D-I-C-T-E-D to these things. A huge bag contains pouches and each pouch is only 30-40 calories and they are AMAZING! The only reason not higher on the list is because thus far a local health store and Amazon.com are the only place for them to be found and they are costly. They are fantastic though and worth every penny. I don’t buy things, I buy food!

Contest Winners and Why This Fat Loss Blog Sucks

07 Jul

You can see above who the winner was but let’s give it a proper shout out anyways!

Congratulations…

Steve R. from Michigan for the awesome banner.

*Throws confetti and cues recorded claps*

It was really close but Steve took it in a 29-21 vote to Stephanie M.’s banner.

Here is the deal though, both Steve and Steph (good name combo) have the books and Steve is apparently phone shy so…

Steve gets the free goodies (what he really wanted) and the Amazon gift card, and since Stephanie put so, so much hard work into multiple banners (seriously, she worked really hard) and loves her music I have no choice but to award her the $50 Amazon gift card as well.

Congratulations to Steve and Stephanie and thank you for your fantastic work on the banners!

The next topic for discussion is why this blog has been lacking. There are a lot of reasons for this but mainly it’s been a lack of time or more so my lack of using it well. See, where as some of you have fat loss issues to troubleshoot and are fat loss rejects, I am an organization reject.

At least I was.

I am now on a program. It involves weekly check-in’s with my sponsor and we go over proper use of a cork board. I’m excited and you should be too. I have officially set aside blog time instead of “if I have time to get to it” blog time.

And how sexy is this new layout, eh? No more problems with layout, images loading, resolutions, etc. This is a setup that should work with everyone.

Lastly, there is one more twist to the contest but you’ll just have to wait until tomorrow to find out!

Man Loses 80 pounds Eating Mcdonalds

You have to love it when a story jumps up and slaps you in the face regarding how complicated people make things. 5 to 6 meals only, no carbs, eat this only around your workout, etc.

Before you start making things to complicated, take a road YOU want to take, see what happens and only if it doesn’t work THEN try and tighten the reigns on yourself.

PS-Don’t forget to enter into the contest. There are only 4 more days until it ends. Taking a few seconds to shoot me a picture or a banner, could get you lots of free goodies!

Fat Loss Banner = Fat Loss Contest Winner?

19 Jun

What is up with the banners? Yeah I know. Look, some people found the sandwich licking the abs a slight bit offensive. Crazy, I know!

Sure my first instinct was to stick by my guns. Then I had to ask: is a banner really that important? Important enough to scare people off?

Um… yeah, it is!

So that is why YOU are going to help me pick the new one. More than that YOU are going to help me make the new ones.

Now I already have two made myself and I really really like them BUT I need some more to choose from. So, all of you get started on sending new ideas into me. On Friday the 27th I will put up the banners for a vote. I will not say who has done what. Only I will know.

You will vote on the banner, and that banner will be the new banner for this site for at least a full year.

What does the winner of the banner get? You mean other than the joy of being the banner creator of my site?

  • The Full Fat Loss Troubleshoot Package
  • One Phone Consult with the all wise and knowing me
  • A shipment of PB2, Brownies, and Tons of Yummy bar treats courtesy of BodyTech.com
  • Gift card for $50 to Amazon.com

Not too shabby, eh? That’s $300+ worth of prizes there!

So what are you waiting for? You don’t even have to eat well for this contest!

Rules/best chances of winning:

-Banner must be in clean taste (Doesn’t have to mean boring!)
-Banner must be at 1400 x 200 and at least 200 resolution
-Banner should be lighter and appeal to both sexes (not gender specific)
-No kitten hugging (emphasis added)

(I will also accept picture submissions. They do not have to be banners but they must be your own work. I can make them into a banner, that counts!)

Submit your entries to banners@avidityfitness.net or link to them and contact me through the contact link.
